In diabetic lifestyle, I have tried to convey the physical, financial, and mental aspect of having diabetes. I have always been able to see and discuss the physical and financial aspect, but have not been able to completely convey the mental aspect to someone else who has diabetes. So, I decided that it would be best if I directed you towards a book that I read called “The Complete Diabetes Lifestyle. It has helped me in discovering that mental aspect of having diabetes and hopefully will help those of you who have Type 2 Diabetes too.

It is loaded with humor, practical tips, and real-life emotions; “The Complete Diabetes Lifestyle” will demystify diabetes and is your personal coach as you tinker, tune, and adjust your way into a new lifestyle.

Midwest Book Review writes, “When Donna Kay was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes at the age of 35, she could not find an upbeat book that would help her deal with her condition emotionally as well as medically. Reading the literature extensively, conversing with healthcare professionals, and having no family history of diabetes, Donna Kay (with the help of Maribeth Stephen, an experienced healthcare writer) decided to write that missing book for the benefit of others who, like her, would find themselves unexpectedly having to deal with Type 2 Diabetes and all of the life-changing consequences of that diagnosis. The result is The Complete Diabetes Lifestyle, a work of humor, practical advice, mind-body wisdom, and motivational strategies for dealing with diabetes. Written specifically for the non-specialist general reader, The Complete Diabetes Lifestyle will enable anyone to create an individualized diabetes management plan and feel self-empowered to deal with making those enduring changes that are fundamental to enjoying a better life. Strongly recommended for community library Health & Medicine reference collections, The Complete Diabetes Lifestyle is especially valuable reading for anyone having diabetes and needing to deal with its emotional as well as medical demands.”
